Gautham Karthik, child of veteran player Karthik, has expressed his long-standing desire to celebrity in the remake of his father’s Ullathai Allitha, a hilarious comical performance which issued in 1995 and turned out to be a blockbuster strike. administered by Sundar C and with Rambha as the heroine converse Karthik, Ullathai Allitha rode on Goundamani, Senthil and Manivannan’s rib-tickling comic sequences which conveyed the roof down.
Gautham debuted as champion in Mani Ratnam’s Kadal early this year. Despite Mani’s film-making gut feelings and Oscar-winner Rahman’s melodies, Kadal didn’t scorch the box-office and ended up as a malfunction. Gautham, however, organised to land up a couple of large-scale tasks in Aishwarya Dhanush’s Vai Raja Vai converse Priya Anand, Thyagarajan’s Yennamo Yedho converse Rakul Preet Singh and Nikeesha Patel and Saravanan’s Sippai opposite Lakshmi Menon.
24-year old Gautham was talking at the meet-the-press happening held in connection with the imminent issue of Yennamo Yedho. “I don’t want to celebrity converse any one specific player but would love to do movies opposite all of them. I don’t want to get slotted in a specific likeness and would love to do loving, action-based and comical performance films as well.
“I haven’t watched many films of my grandpa Muthuraman but have watched all films of my father. If I get the opportunity, I would certainly love to star in the remakes of movies such as Pistha and Ullathai Allitha; both the fun-filled films, shot in and round Ooty, are close to my heart. I’m not unduly bothered about the malfunction of Kadal as I drawn from immense approval from employed in a reputed controller like Mani Ratnam,” resolved Gautham.
