It is powerfully rumoured in Kollywood circles that most of the technicians and crew members of Vijay’s imminent movie Jilla stay an sad alallotmentment as they haven’t been paid their salaries and salaries for the past three months by producer R.B. Choudhary for a kind of reasons.
Starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in lead functions and Mohanlal and Poornima Jayaram in famous roles, Jilla is set to release in theatres on Pongal next January. Nesan, a debutant, has administered the film whose teaser is expected to be issued shortly. The crew of the movie, although, has said that they may not be adept to commemorate Deepavali happily due to the pending salaries and salaries which haven’t been paid to them for months.
Technicians, junior artistes, dancers, etc. are yet to be paid their due salaries and salaries and queries with the Unit haven’t extracted any direct response as to what is the actual cause for this. First, the crew was notified that the salaries would be paid after the first agenda of the film’s fire which completed in Hyderabad some time back. Then they were told that they would be paid the wages on the ‘eve’ of Deepavali which hasn’t happened.
It is described that Choudhary is in some ‘financial untidy’ after describedly giving Rs.20 crores to Vijay as his charge to star in the movie as the latter had made it clear that he won’t be taking part in the film’s shooting agenda except he is paid full. This has left the rest of the crew high and dry!
